01 / PLAYING HERE

Leave room for the school schedule

School and City events take priority here. Follow posted schedules when choosing a court.

Limit play to one hour when others are waiting, and wear non-marking shoes.

02 / THE COURT IS ONLY HALF THE PLAN

Find your next hitting partner.

Find people to play with and agree on a time. A Rally game does not reserve a court.

No upcoming public Rally games are listed here right now. Explore Boston games to find another plan.

03 / GETTING THERE

Two addresses, one library-area meeting point

The park guide uses 441 Broadway; the athletic-court list uses 459 Broadway for the school and War Memorial location. Meet at the outdoor tennis courts, rather than at an indoor recreation entrance.

The Main Library and Cambridge Rindge and Latin School are the landmarks to look for.

04 / BEFORE YOU GO

Tennis beside the Main Library

The park’s lawn and playground offer places to spend time before or after a game.

Tennis and pickleball share the court area. Set the adjustable net to 36 inches at the center for tennis.

A FEW PRACTICAL ANSWERS

Before your first visit

Are these the Cambridge library tennis courts?

Yes. Joan Lorentz Park is beside the Main Library and Cambridge Rindge and Latin School. The courts are also known as the Broadway tennis courts.

Should I navigate to 441 or 459 Broadway?

Both are official references for this park and school area. Use the court pin and agree to meet outdoors at the tennis enclosure.

Does a Rally game give me priority over school use?

No. A Rally game is a player arrangement; the City’s priority for school and municipal events still applies.
