01 / PLAYING HERE
Reserve your tennis court through PlayLocal
Use PlayLocal to choose a tennis slot at Boston Common. Arrange your players through Rally and make the court reservation separately.
Managed by Boston Parks and Recreation. Official facility information ↗
02 / THE COURT IS ONLY HALF THE PLAN
Find your next hitting partner.
Find people to play with and agree on a time. A Rally game does not reserve a court.
No upcoming public Rally games are listed here right now. Explore Boston games to find another plan.
03 / GETTING THERE
Meet by the courts on the Charles Street side
The Common has several official addresses for different attractions. The Charles Street side is a better starting point for the mapped tennis area than the Visitor Information Center on Tremont Street.
Use the court pin for the final walk and agree to meet at the enclosure. ‘Boston Common’ alone could send your partner to Frog Pond, the bandstand or another entrance.
04 / BEFORE YOU GO
Tennis and pickleball share court time
Boston Common has two tennis courts with three pickleball overlays. Select tennis when reserving and follow the posted sharing rules.
A FEW PRACTICAL ANSWERS
Before your first visit
Does a Rally game reserve Boston Common?
No. Book the court separately through PlayLocal.
Are the pickleball courts separate from tennis?
No. Three pickleball layouts overlay the two tennis courts.
Where should I meet my tennis partner?
At the tennis enclosure on the Charles Street side of the Common. Share the court pin rather than a general park address.
